Inspiration

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 23, 2008, 7:35 PM
This word has come up a couple times recently. I'd thought a share a couple links to show where I get some ideas for terrain.

:bulletgreen:Terrain Thralls: [link] I don't remember exactly how I came across this site, but the group that works on terrain here is top-notch. Privateer Press fans rejoice~

:bulletgreen:Terragenesis: [link] This small community hosts some very resourceful articles on terrain techniques and popular materials. Confused about a project? Poke around in the forums and perhaps you'll find what you're looking for.

:bulletgreen:Cool Mini or Not: [link] I know there's a lot of deviants that frequent this site, but I thought it's worth mentioning to those who haven't yet. Use the search function on the right column to view some of the best models, paintings and terrain on the planet.

I know there's a few others out there. Perhaps you guys/gals know of a few places in the woodwork that house a gem or two~

Thanks for visiting!

I've posted on TG a little while now. But I've known about the site forever. It's always been one of my go to places for ideas. And that was before it was even a forum.

CMoN is sort of hit or miss. It's main downfall: Finding things. Oh and all of the damned adds and pop ups too >.>.

Not sure I've seen Terrain Thralls though. I'll give it a go around for sure.

Heh, CMoN is a bit ad heavy, but a search with a score filter on 7+ is a pretty neat stroll.

I first visited TG when I first posted a terrain piece with my old DA account. I think that was sometime in 2006.

Terrain Thralls is neat. Some of their masterclass walkthroughs are impressive. One of my favorites is called "Home Sweet Fort"; I just love how they made the rocks look in that one~

I knew of cool mini, but not this other stuff. I also had a question: On that putty mold stuff you had, do you know a website I can order it from? There are no hobby stores round me that carry it.

I REALLY want to make a chocolate Guardsmen and SM so I can teach my buddies how to play, and when they're done, eat em!

Yum!

Here you are: [link]

If there's a Micheals arts & craft in your area, they might have it there next to the clay/glue/plaster.

Thanks man! I'm'a buy some and borrow some terrain from my hobby store and cast it and make more. I think I'll start with some barricades.
